Andrea and Paola are the founders of This Is.
Their work has always revolved around one central question:
how can an image reveal the true identity behind what we see?
Through years of working in photography and visual storytelling, they developed a sensitivity for the moment when perception and identity begin to diverge — when the depth of a work is not fully reflected in the way it appears.
Their journey has taken them through different cities, cultures and creative environments, constantly observing how artists, makers and places express themselves across contexts.
These experiences shaped the perspective behind This Is: an editorial project created to reveal the deeper identity already present inside a body of work.
While rooted in Italy, the vision of This Is is intentionally international — with the ambition to document and interpret creative identities across different countries and cultural landscapes.
